Coffee shop working has been a thing ever since the first armchair popped up on the high street, cafés in some businesses have become agile workspaces where staff feel more at home, the employer can communicate values differently, encouraging more light bulb moments due to the relaxed surroundings.
The café at Lucombe House needed to compete with the high street in looks, food choice and price, with a pretty healthy budget we set to work injecting life and a foodie design style into a plain and simple base brand.
By creating a bespoke copper and slate colour base, we created a Dartmoor meets River Cottage inspired type of interior scheme that made the base brand come alive, our graphic layered approach to design, opened the doors for better food imagery, a bolder tone of voice and the opportunity to promote more premium looking meal deals.
The Café sales have smashed every forecast the client predicted and continues to go from strength to strength. This Café infused workspace has made a real difference to Devon County Council and we couldn’t be happier for them!
